The Stiller Centre has established itself as one of Canada’s leading technology incubators, generating synergy by bringing together minds in research, professional, medical, biotechnology and commercial sectors. The 45,000 square foot facility, launched in 2002, is designed for start-up technology-based companies with a primary focus on commercializing wet-science based ventures. ‘Wet-science’ applies to a broad array of business applications including drug development, medical devices and imaging, cellular therapy, alternative energy, chemical processing, and others.

The Stiller Centre is also home to the Convergence Lab program, a fully-equipped laboratory with flexible rental options that allows young companies to immediately be in business. Available at subsidized rates for use by entrepreneurial science-based start-ups looking to do proof-of-principle work and small companies in need of temporary laboratory services, this laboratory occupies over 1,600 square feet with benches and desk space that can support four to six activities simultaneously.
